Sadness has fallen on our house this week. We hang our heads low in a somber mood. Our beloved friend of 11 years has moved onto a better place. A place where the squirrels never get away the snow always falls and all her friends are waiting to give her belly rubs. We will miss you Marley ...oh more so than any words can describe.

Good Bye Octobor.....

Well Octobor has come and gone. Wow it was a beautiful month. We had a ton of sunny days,
many more than we had expected. The leaves were stunning this year. We had some wonderful family trips. Like this one to the Salmon fest at Oxbow Park. Kadin had a great time. He got to dress up as a wolf and play some drums too!

The farmer's market has come to an end. This part is bitter sweet. It will be nice to only work five days a week, but very sad to not see my farmer on a weekly basis. The food rocks! It can't be beat. The days this past month were so great. Cool mornings with sunny warm afternoons. Here is Kadin helping out in the backyard. He is getting so big now. He had a lot of fun Trick-or-Treating on Halloween. He may have had even more fun seeing all the other children dressed up in their costumes that came to our door. Now we are getting ready for the shorter days ahead, and playing outside in the November rain, (is there anything more fun for a 2 year old boy than jumping in a rain puddle?) Wishing you all a Happy Fall!

Happy Birthday Kadin!
Kadin turned two last week. We celebrated with several friends and there families. Kadin's and his friend Anna share a birthday one year apart. We had decided to have the party at a park where the kids could run and play on the playground. Doyle had made a wonderful cake that was enjoyed by all. Our neighbors/friends Dan & Nicki made a great birthday sign for the kids. We had a tom of wonderful food.
This month we have been gearing up for a move. Kadin is getting pretty excited about the "new" house. As Doyle and I are too. It is in a nice neighborhood and we have the house all to our selves. It will be very nice not to have downstairs neighbors. At the same time I am going to miss our home on Insley. I gave birth to Kadin at that house and it has a ton of firsts in it. We are trying to make the move as smooth as possible for
everyone. The downstairs neighbors have a cat named Yellow who is in love with Marley. At the same time Kadin is in love with Yellow. Not sure who is going to miss each other more Kadin missing yellow or Yellow missing Marley. By the way Yellow is orange.

Kadin & Anna

Well the last month or so has been a ton of fun. We had a few really nice days mostly on the weekend! Here is a snap shot of Kadin and Anna on this hike that Doyle and I did with our friends Dan and Nicki. This was a nice hike in Washington, named Dog Mountain. We almost made it to the top but decided that we would rather have lunch at this pull off where there was this amazing view of the valley. Here is a wonderful shot of Kadin and Anna at the Farmers Market. Doyle and I along with Kadin.

Spring Has Sprung !!
Greetings to one and all. Spring has finally sprung and is in full force here in Portland. The cherry trees are in bloom and daffodils and crocuses are all around us.
We have been busy seeing friends and playing as much as possible. Kadin was invited to two birthdays one for Jude and the other was his friend Niko. He had a blast at both parties! We also went to the Rhododendron Garden for the first time what fun. There were a ton of geese and some beautiful duc
ks too. Dolye, Kadin and myself also spent a day at the Portland Zoo. Kadin loved it....and talks about the Zoo daily. He seemed to really enjoy seeing
the elephants and fish. We happened to be in front of the fish for feeding time which made Kadin very excited. Here he is at the tank. With the nice weather we have been out
& about. We were doing some yard work and chalk drawing in the drive way. Here is Kadin busy at work on the computer. This was o
ne of way to many cute pictures to select for this addition. Doyle has been playin
g out here and there. He has a T.V apperance in April. We are trying to line up someone to record this. Hopefully I can have clips for the next blog. We are gearing up for some big changes at the L
oKenney abode.......I have recently been offered a job at a small local produce distributer. Doyle has stepped down from his position and will
be a stay at home Dad. We are both ready and excited to start on this new path. Kadin and Doyle will have a ton of great fun together. I will be working full time. This position was offered out of the blue to me.....and after much consideration we all agreed that this would be a good change for everyone. The hours are great and it is close to home. Doyle will not the miss the 50 miles a day that he has been driving to and from work.

Wow are we late!!!

Why hello everyone so sorry for the delay. Gosh how times fly I have not had a chance to update this blog in ......well way to long. A ton and I mean a ton of things have been going on. Just trying to keep my head above water at the moment. We had a wonderful fall. Kadin kept us busy having two of his four mollers come in at Thanksgiving. I am thankful that I do not have to go thru such painful things. Then it was Christmas before we knew it. We decided to stay home in Oregon this year. It was nice and quite but we did miss our family so very much. Kadin got a beautiful kitchen from Grandma & Grandpa Lodor. He has not stepped away from it since December 25th! Big news on the Kadin front he has started to talk. I mean he says more than one or two words now. Doyle taught Kadin " no " by mistake and now that is all he can say. It's so cute all you can do is smile and try not to laugh when he says it. He has also learned moon, ball, gosh there are way to many to list all of them. He is a very busy guy these days. It has been very cold here in the great north west. Doyle and I both have lost that east coast thick skin! We are cold....brrrr. With temps in the 30's. That's cold! We woke up today to some snow!!! But it melted by noon....boooo. Doyle has some big news on the band front. He got a gig at one of our favorite watering holes. Well I can not remember the last time I was there but a place we try to visit if we can. They have live music seven nights a week and good brew too. Congratulations Doyle!! Kadin and I are proud of you. Unfortunately this is a night time show and no minors are allowed....Kadin and I will have to sit this one out. Hopefully they will play again soon so I can drop on down to see him play out. We have not taking many pictures lately. Not sure why. Kadin and I have been going to story time as much as we can. It is a ton of fun at the local library. We sing, read books and of course dane too. He seems to have a good time. So much that he asks me to sing him songs in the car. We are all looking forward to spring and some warmer days. I can not remember the last time we were at the park. Will try my best to stay up with this blog.....try is the key word here. Till next time miss you all ........

Lodors on the Links
Well this was a great day for the whole family. Doyle's brother Eric was in town on business but we managed to get him to join us at the Edgefield for 9 holes in the sun. It was a beautiful fall day.....here is a shot of the four of us on the course.
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed seeing Eric and Kadin play together. As far as the game went.....well there are several bars on the course for a reason. With that said here are a few more shots of everyone having a awesome time.
